Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel
This 2-hour workshop is for beginners who would like to have a first go at throwing on the wheel.
You will try your hand at centering clay on the wheel and throwing a small cylinder.
At the end of the session, you can pick your favourite pot which will be glazed and fired for you.
The cost of all materials and firing are included in your course fee.
These sessions are intended for adults. Separate classes are available for 11–18-year-olds. See here.
Tickets and dates

We offer bursary tickets (half price) to those who currently receive any of the following: Pension Credit, Universal Credit Disability Benefit, Income Support or Job Seekers allowance. Please email pottery@bellhouse.co.uk to get your half price voucher.

These courses are for adults. There are taster sessions available for 11–18-year-olds. See here.
Nothing is currently available for children under 11.
Refunds:
No refunds are available. However if you cannot attend a Taster Class for any reason:
if you give us eight- or more- days’ notice we can either reschedule or send you a code to rebook for a different Taster Class.
If you give seven days’ notice or less, we cannot reschedule. There are no exceptions to this, so please do not ask or pressurise our staff.
In the latter scenario where you give seven days’ notice or less that you cannot attend, your booked place remains yours to give to a friend or family member to attend instead of you. In which case please let us know who is coming in your place.
