Some of the wildlife you can spot in London

London’s wildlife is far richer than most of us think. From ancient woodlands, chalk grasslands, to rivers and wetlands, there are many places and habitats to explore.

Daniel discusses the reasons why they are found in the city and the ways in which people have shaped these landscapes over the centuries.

About the speaker

Daniel Greenwood is an environmental professional, born and raised in south-east London. Daniel has worked for London Wildlife Trust at Sydenham Hill Wood and on recent woodland projects, as well as for the South Downs National Park in volunteering development.

He also leads landscape-focused guided walks and talks in London, Sussex and Hampshire. Daniel is a freelance writer and photographer with contributions published in London Wildlife Trust’s recent book, London in the Wild.
