In this hands-on and practical screen-printing workshop at Bell House, printers will draw designs and make paper stencils taking inspiration from their own project ideas or from the images available in the workshop, mostly focusing on bold shapes and patterns.
We will print using water-based textile screen printing inks, using transparent and opaque colours to produce layered designs and repeat patterns. By the end of the workshop, you will have a collection of A5-A3 screen- printed fabric samples.
All materials and equipment will be provided. Printers are welcome to bring their own fabrics from home and an old t-shirt or tote bag to up-cycle and transform through print. If you have time, cut your own A5-A3 paper stencils using old sheets of newspaper.
This workshop is suitable for anyone, beginners and those with experience. By the end of the three-hour workshop you will have a greater understanding of the process, the equipment and materials needed to print at home.
Tickets are £65 + Eventbrite booking fee per person for the adults’ workshop.
