On the Street Where You Live: Turney Road with Ian McInnes

Turney Road

This online illustrated local history talk will cover the development of Turney Road from fields to the housing we see today. It will complement the “On the Street Where You Live” series previously published in the Dulwich Society Journal.

About the Speaker

Ian McInnes is a retired architect and has been researching Dulwich’s history for many years, writing articles and leading walks for a number of organisations. He is chair of the Dulwich Society local history group and chair of Twentieth Century Society. He has a particular interest in both private and social housing.

Tickets are £5 however if you need a free ticket please email info@bellhouse.co.uk.

All proceeds to the Bell House Quilt Academy for materials to make quilts for Afghan refugees. While in temporary accommodation refugee families require warm clothes, toiletries and nappies. When the time comes to move to their new family home there will be a different set of needs. We want each family to receive a quilt for their new home and country, which the stitchers in Quilt Academy will make.
