Free weekly drop-in group for mothers and babies
Wendy and Sonia would love you to join their Mothers and Babies’ Group to be held on Tuesday mornings from March 8th for 6 sessions. The group is open to anyone with a baby who would like to escape from the house once week and join a group with other people in similar situations. We know it may not be possible to come to every session and this is understandable so feel free come as and when you like.
Obviously, you may bring your baby who may cry, sleep, demand attention as babies do, and we can accommodate all of that!
The group will run weekly sessions depending on what you the participants want. We will talk about this during the first session over coffee.
It’s been such a wonderful time getting to know you both and the mums, as well as watching the kiddies all grow and change. Thank you so much for running and organising it all.
I really needed some fresh ears and chat when we started up because I wasn’t feeling myself at all but I always left feeling so much more positive. That may have been the coffee of course! And to have your support by coming to see my play was above and beyond!
You created a really lovely and much needed space for "me time" and I got to meet and know some fantastic mums too. Was so good to learn from your words of wisdom. THANK YOU. Much appreciated.
Thank you much for arranging these meetings. It was lovely to meet all of you.

Sonia Hancock is a relationship counsellor, who has worked primarily in the voluntary sector. She joined the chaplaincy team at HMS Brixton and counselled there for many years. She is a hands-on granny to eight grandchildren!
Wendy French is a therapist and is currently running groups for patients with cancer and their carers at the Macmillan Centre UCH and Maggie’s Centre, The Royal Marsden Hospital. Like Sonia she has eight grandchildren but they are older and so their needs are different from the needs of Sonia’s grandchildren!
